Embodied Hope

A benevolent life is not measured by being immensely educated, wealthy, or by being a precisionist. It should be valued with decorous intentions. With the objective to share our dexterity that will touch the lives of others. Not just for the lives of commoners but for the lives that are vigorously searching for any inspiration they can meticulously hold.  Allowing the youth to dream, explore, and achieve for others will have a denouement that will end in a limitless horizon of hopes. Depending on how an individual reaps the effect of a loss, it is only permanent if you do not try again.

The ability to dream has long since been a driving force of human nature. As we dream, we enter a state of the unconscious self, where anything presents itself as being a possibility. Here, our desires and thoughts become exceedingly lucid. More often than not, we find some aspect of our dreams to be compelling. But what characteristic compels us? Is it the thought of the richness and delicacy of life? Or, rather, the destruction of something locked and sealed away from our moral intuition? We dream so that we can imagine how life “could be” but dreams without goals, are mere fantasies. Those who dream of achieving the improvement of the world, are the soldiers of a more congruous world. The accomplishments of today, are the steppingstones for the future.

As an impending lawyer, it is my inmost wish to help my community. I choose to be motivated in life, not manipulated by another’s thoughts or actions. I wish to be of use and to enact change for the benefit of others. I learned that life is not about discovering yourself, it is about fabricating yourself. I yearn to have my own voice where I can contribute generosity, not be altered by the ill opinions of others.

Maya Angelou once said,” People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget the way you made them feel.” This quote empowers me to elicit such hopefulness in my community’s life. Not just from a local standpoint, but from a global perspective. I do not wish to see a portion of society better off than another. Contribution is more assertive than words. It means to give oneself to others so that we can be of value to humanity.

Lately, my future has been on my mind. It may be because life is uncertain. The actions we take now will forever be stitched in the memories of ourselves and others. It is a known fact that we need to invest ourselves in the future because that is our destination. Beauty is in the eye of the holder and the dreams that we create for ourselves are our compass. They show you where to go in life, exhibiting all the possibilities where a boundless path could take you. The difference between living and existing is how you influenced the world around you. People can choose to be an observer of life, or they can choose to be a fragment of the world that someone else perceives. I chose to be the latter.
